Explore eloquent style

‘Eloquence’ means to ‘express yourself persuasively’.  That’s exactly what Marlene Reed and Melissa Low have done with their new homewares, gifts and kids boutique.

These two down-to-earth mums are modestly proud of the store which recently won Dalby’s New Business of the Year award.“We wanted to create a place that was bright, friendly and welcoming,” said Marlene. The recipe is working with regular customers enjoying the colour and style, not to mention the convenience of the kids’ corner.

The business had its beginnings as a part of Dalby’s Nut and Bolt Factory where Marlene and Melissa are also co-owners with their husbands.“We started selling saucepans at Nut and Bolt, and customers kept asking for more.”

So the two friends made the decision to set up Eloquence, which opened in April.“Our first six months has been a ride,” Marlene smiles. Marlene and Melissa both have young daughters who influence the shop’s style, with a gorgeous range of children’s bags, bedroom décor, hair accessories, party supplies, and collectible Beanie Kids.

Of course the boys don’t miss out - with rocket ships, pirates and other boy-inspired gifts. Teens and big boys are also catered for with swags, leathermans and torches.“Quality kitchenware is one of the big drawcards and we’re always on the look out for new trends and quirky gadgets.”

From garden ornaments to dinnerware, be persuaded to shop with Eloquence.
